Jenter i alderen 18 til 25 år som vil lære mer om internasjonal speiding kan nå søke og delta på Helen Storrow seminaret på Our Chalet World Centre, i Adelboden, Sveits. Seminaret holdes i tiden 10 - 19. september 2005 med deltakere fra hele verden. Søknadsfrist 30. mai.
Seminaret vil fokusere på WAGGGS sitt ”Our Rights Our Responsibilities” program. Norges speiderforbund skal sende en deltaker på dette seminaret. Er dette noe du kunne tenke deg? Dersom du…
- er mellom 18 og 25 år
- behersker engelsk godt, både muntlig og skriftelig
- er aktiv på gruppe, krets- og/eller forbundsplan
- har godt kjennskap til arbeidet på de forskjellige nivåer i Norges speiderforbund
- kan forplikte deg til å skrive rapport fra seminaret, samt aktiv deltakelse i NSF videre i 2005

Seminaravgift og reise Oslo- Zürich t/r dekkes av NSF.
Søknad med CV sendes til forbundskontoret innen 30. mai, enten på mail eller post. Merk mailen/ søknaden med ”Helen Storrow seminaret”. Ta kontakt med Elin på Forbundskontoret hvis du lurer på noe.

The current WAGGGS triennial theme of Our Rights, Our Responsibilities promotes the idea of world citizenship, both individually and in relation to others. It aims to raise awareness about basic human rights and help people to take active and positive responsibility for claiming those rights, not just for themselves but also for others.
The Fourth Helen Storrow Seminar will focus on three topics under the Our Rights, Our Responsibilities banner, the Right to Learn, the Right to be Heard and the Right to Work Together. The Right to Learn will examine global issues in education, especially the rights and access to education for girls and women. It will also analyse WAGGGS role in providing non-formal education as a means of self-development for its members around the world. The Right to be Heard will provide training in the practical skills of communication, lobbying and negotiation, especially with regard to promoting human rights. The Right to Work Together will offer training in leadership and team building skills, and look at how we can work together as an organisation to improve the rights of women and girls. The seminar will also provide the chance to visit the United Nations Headquarters in Geneva, where human rights issues are frequently debated.
